Emmanuel Episcopal Church of La Grange established the David E. Weaver IV Memorial Outreach Fund in 2003 to honor the memory of David (1974–2002), who grew up within the Emmanuel church family. David was the son of former Rector David E. Weaver III and Sally Weaver. He was an acolyte, Sunday school teacher, athlete, music lover, and passionate advocate for youth and social justice. David graduated from the University of Miami School of Law and remained committed to empowering young people through athletics, mentorship, and community involvement.
For more than two decades, the Fund has honored David’s memory by supporting programs that enrich the lives of underserved youth throughout the Chicagoland area and the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago.
